- Why does the Radley place fascinate Scout, Jem and Dill? It fascinates them because they have never seen Arther “boo” Radley come out of his house before. They think that he had died in house because he never comes out. Everyday after school Sc-out, jem and Dill run past the Radley place because they are scared that he will come out and run after them.
