  • It was the most catastrophic War in American history
  • In one battle nearly 50,00 people died
  • Nearly every American lost someone in the war, a friend, brother, father etc.
  • Abraham Lincon had four brothers-in-law who fought for the South
  • This War brang South America and North America closer together
  • After the War the United States of America was truly united as one
  • Civil War was a significant event in World History because the Norths Victory had proven that democracy worked
  • Abraham Lincon regonized the historical significance of the War even before it was over

Reflection:

The people that were in and alive when the American Civil War was happening would have been very sad and devistated for the amount of people that had died and who got wounded.
